In Ensisheim, Alsace, Hôtel-Restaurant L’Orchidée is reborn in a 1610 residence, where the spirit of the past engages in discreet modern elegance. Among the accommodations, a selection of suites pays tribute to history with names like Louis XIV and Napoleon, while other rooms offer a sleek, contemporary setting. Everywhere, without ostentation, modernity reveals itself: discreet yet attentive service, the hush of a sauna, and a warm ambiance, with carefully chosen materials and refined lines playing with colours and textures to evoke authenticity, modernity and a spirit of escape. The décor conceived by the Klanklong family blends delicate orchids, statuettes and Buddha-inspired silhouettes, while comfortable armchairs and banquettes invite journeys, yet remain rooted in Alsace. Every detail finds its echo in the kitchen. Chatchai and Kriangkai Klanklong helm a starred Thai gastronomic table. The dishes, precise and vibrant, draw on local freshness while honouring original flavours, in a sincere and refined balance.
