With three rivers and around twenty fountains, <strong>water plays a central role in Vence<\/strong>. Its waters are said to have<strong> many beneficial properties<\/strong>: thirst-quenching, refreshing, low in minerals, and even diuretic!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The town\u2019s many fountains add to its <strong>picturesque charm<\/strong>, with some dating back to the 16th century. The latter, transformed into a museum at the initiative of Mayor \u00c9mile Hugues, <strong>now hosts prestigious exhibitions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vence Cathedral, one of the oldest in the region<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Built on the ruins of a <strong>Roman temple<\/strong>, the <strong>Notre-Dame de la Nativit\u00e9 Cathedral (Vence Cathedral)<\/strong> is one of the oldest in the region. Its most precious treasure is undoubtedly the <strong>mosaic by Marc Chagall, <em>Moses Saved from the Waters<\/em><\/strong>, which adds a touch of modern art to this monument steeped in spirituality and history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1396bf6b321b1a69049f39f1947eb709\">An artistic tour of Vence\u2019s chapels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Vence is still home to <strong>21 chapels<\/strong>, some of which are true treasures of architecture and sacred art. Its play of light, refined simplicity, and colourful patterns make it a unique site and a must-see for lovers of art and sacred architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other iconic chapels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Vence stands out for its remarkable <strong>religious heritage<\/strong>, marked by numerous chapels that bear witness to the town\u2019s spiritual fervour and rich history.
