Here, you can <strong>go behind the scenes<\/strong> of brewing and sample a classic local beer. <strong>The<\/strong> <strong>Beer Museum<\/strong> and <strong>the Sedan Brewing School<\/strong> complete the experience, teaching you everything you need to know about this ancient craft. Next, the tour takes you to <strong>Charleville-M\u00e9zi\u00e8res<\/strong>, known as the \u2018City of Poetry\u2019 and beloved by the young Arthur Rimbaud. While you&#8217;re in the area, make sure to stop in Launois-sur-Vence, a town committed to both heritage and brewing. On one side, the Les Sabots du Relais association has restored the 17th-century postal relay, keeping the region\u2019s equestrian tradition alive. On the other, Ardwen Brewery, just a stone\u2019s throw away, showcases the local craft beer scene. A must-see stop along the <strong>Beer Route!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Walking in the footsteps of hops<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For lovers of the <strong>outdoors <\/strong>and local know-how, <strong>the Sentier du Houblon<\/strong> (Hop Trail) around <strong>Wingersheim-les-Quatre-Bans<\/strong> is a must. This <strong>4.5 km<\/strong> trail, open to the public from April to September, offers <strong>guided tours<\/strong> every Wednesday during the summer. This route, easily accessible from Strasbourg, can be explored on foot or by bike and combines nature, culture and the pleasures of hops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-73b5754ead702c4260b5c9c422b37911\">Brewing highlights\u00a0\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rocroi: a star-shaped town that brews its identity\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>Rocroi<\/strong>, a medieval town with a star-shaped fortifications, local history meets modernity. Under the initiative of Mayor Denis Binet, the town created <strong>its own beer<\/strong>: Rocroy Beer, with a \u2018y\u2019 to differentiate it, the result of a collaboration between three <strong>local<\/strong> breweries. Rocroi has preserved the <strong>traditional architecture<\/strong> of its fortresses and is one of the few towns in France that has maintained its original layout. Built in 1555 during the reign of Henry II, the <strong>fortress of Rocroi<\/strong> was designed to withstand attacks. A site of historic victories, Rocroi still  features has Vauban&#8217;s three gateways and ten star-shaped streets, unchanged since they were constructed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Senones: L&#8217;Opercule, the taste of honey and organic ingredients<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>the Vosges<\/strong>, 20 minutes from <strong>Saint-Di\u00e9<\/strong>, the craft brewery<strong> L&#8217;Opercule<\/strong> stands out for its originality. The brewers, who are also beekeepers, incorporate<strong> mountain honey<\/strong> into their recipe. The result is a smooth, subtle, 100% organic beer, bottle-fermented.
