On a magnificent wooded meadow, the Hotel Bärenmühle invites you to relax.
Nestled between forest and meadow, lulled by the rustle of a stream and the venerable beech forests that surround it, the Hotel Bärenmühle sits in majestic solitude in the valley. For almost 500 years, the mill’s two wheels have been turning to grind flour and press oil. Today, 15 elegant country-style rooms invite you to relax.
Author Christiane Kohl and her sister Bettina Kohl, a leather stylist, have lovingly transformed the parental home into a charming country hotel. Each room is named after a historical event and furnished in the corresponding style. This is how this elegant retreat came into being, in an enchanting natural setting on the edge of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park.
This little parallel universe in the Mühlental offers its guests what is today a true luxury: relaxing calm, fresh air, magnificent scenery and plenty of space to let go.
The refined French-style cuisine promises exceptional culinary pleasures. In a vast landscaped garden, a small natural wellness program, with yoga, ayurveda, massages, a natural swimming pond and a small sauna, will enable you to regain a more peaceful rhythm.
