Enjoy inspired cuisine in the heart of a 10-hectare park. Come, meet, taste, stay, get away from it all
Laura et Christophe Portelli Saintagne - Chefs
Nestled on the edge of the Meudon forest, a few kilometers from Paris, the restaurant Les Roseaux is part of the exceptional setting of Hangar Y, between the Chalais basin designed by Le Nôtre and the building constructed in the 19th century by Henri de Dion, the birthplace of the first dirigible balloon flight.
Located in the heart of a 10-hectare park, a former royal estate and a place of culture and innovation, the restaurant is suspended between nature, art and history. Under the century-old trees, tranquility reigns. Inside, the warm, country atmosphere matches the soothing view of the water.
The menu, created by Laura Portelli and Christophe Saintagne, evolves with the seasons and reflects the program of Hangar Y throughout the year. The menus, inspired by the cultural universe, build a bridge between art and gastronomy, for a unique experience.
Laura Portelli, of Tuscan origin, and Christophe Saintagne, very attached to his native Normandy, have created a gourmet menu that contributes to the well-being of the place. Local and seasonal products are enhanced by recipes that are at once healthy and gourmet, sincere, classic, but never set in stone. Here, tradition is constantly reinvented with a dash of modernity and audacity, while maintaining the spirit and style of the homely cuisine so dear to the two chefs.
On Sunday lunchtimes, the chefs invite families to come together and share some great classics during a delicious brunch. In summer, the terrace is the perfect place to relax, with cocktails prepared right in front of diners. In winter, comforting pastries take over.
